Mr. Yu is one of the founding partners of L & Y Office and the sole proprietor of Henry Yu and Associates. He obtained his law bachelor degree in England and is qualified as a solicitor in both England and Wales and Hong Kong. Mr. Yu has also obtained the qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Mr. Yu served as the Deputy Head of Legal Counsel of a major investment bank after he had worked for various international and Magic Circle law firms. Mr. Yu has rich experience in handling legal matters relating to corporate and commercial transactions, IPO, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, financing, fund formation, regulatory, licensing and commercial and shareholders’ disputes etc. 

In recent years, Mr. Yu has developed strong interest in the blockchain industry and his enthusiasm and insightful views have been affirmed widely by various professional bodies. Mr. Yu is a member of the Innotech Committee (formerly known as the Technology Committee) of the Law Society of Hong Kong, and has also been appointed as the Hon. Legal Advisor to The Hong Kong Federation of Innovation and Invention, Hon. Legal Advisor to the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia and Hon. Legal Advisor to the Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong. From time to time, Mr. Yu represents the Bitcoin Community at meetings with the Legislative Council members, the HKMA and the FTSB.
